Our ice cream flavor of the week using our ninja creami is cotton candy! Cotton candy ice cream usually has a mix of the blue and pink cotton candy flavors. For this recipe you can make just one flavor or make both. The syrups you can easily find on Amazon as well as the cotton candy extract if you want to use that as well. You can swirl the flavors together or serve them individually. As always, have fun with it!
Ingredients:
1 TBSP cream cheese (softened for 15 seconds in microwave)
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup sugar
2 TBSP instant vanilla pudding mix
1/4 cup cotton candy syrup
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 tsp cotton candy extract (optional)
Food coloring (blue and red)
Whisk softened cream cheese, vanilla, sugar, and pudding mix in a bowl. Add candy syrup. Add milk and heavy cream and whisk until everything is well incorporated. Add either blue or red food coloring for a stronger color. (If you want a stronger cotton candy flavor there is a cotton candy extract you can buy on Amazon. It’s strong so start with 1/8-1/4 tsp at a time until you get the flavor you like.) Pour into ninja creami container
Repeat steps if making both colors
Freeze containers for 24 hours
After 24 hours let containers sit out of freezer for 5 minutes and then one at a time load them into your ninja creami machine and choose the ice cream function. (If not the desired consistency you can add 1-2 TBSP of milk and re-spin)
Once both flavors are spun alternate scooping into a large bowl. Using a spoon or a knife gently mix the ice creams until you get a nice swirl. Divide ice cream between the containers and put back in freezer for a few minutes as the ice cream will have softened. You don’t need to mix the flavors. You can’t always just do a scoop of both in a bowl and enjoy! https://youtube.com/shorts/v0OVc49B9Bg?si=ua7gNatM8MAxCvVa
